Heriansyah Putra is an associate professor of geotechnics at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IPB University.  He has research experience and expertise in sustainable soil improvement methods and innovative construction materials.  Dr. Heri teaches several courses in both undergraduate and master programs, including Soil Mechanics, Stabilisation and Soil Improvement, and Foundation Engineering in the undergraduate program and Advanced Construction Material, Finite Element Method, and Geotechnics in the master program. Since 2020, He has focused on developing innovative materials, including calcite precipitation methods for improving problematic soils and plastic waste for construction materials. He aims to present sustainable materials for soil improvement methods that integrate geotechnical, material, and environmental engineering fields. He has published over 50 Scientific papers in both International and National journals.
